Oh it was so gorgeous, and the acting was stellar, and I loved the story and just the whole thing. Ewan McGregor was just wonderful in it. Oh look something other than NCIS:LA fic. tjs_whatnot asked me some questions and verily I have answers for them. I can ask you questions too if you want, or not whatever. I've got to call the bank about payment for my new computer because my poor bb netbook decided it had enough of this world this weekend and I hate being tied down to a desk.

So enjoy these answers aaaaand yeah. Yay for 3 day work weeks!


1. What is your favorite band? Your fave of their songs? Why?

Dashboard Confessional, and it has been since I was in high school. My friend once asked me if I had to pick one group to listen to forever what would it be and the answer is always them - so I guess that means they're my favorite. They just make me happy, a lot of it I think has to do with memories of when I first started listening to them

2. What was your first fandom? How did you get into it?

Well ... the first fanfiction I ever read was for the Labyrinth, I don't even remember how I found it in the first place. And there were several months when that was all I did. But the first fandom I ever wrote for and actually actively participated in was Harry Potter right around the start of the time when I joined LJ 8 years ago.

As for how I got into it - it was rather by accident really. I still didn't really know about the sort of fandom community that is livejournal. I mean I knew it was an online journaling site and I was looking for a replacement for diaryland (LULZ) but as for communities and stuff I had no clue. But I started writing for Harry Potter because I wanted to try out this style of writing I had seen and thought was neat, but I didn't feel like coming up with my own characters so I used Ron and Hermione.

Initially this journal was going to be a place for all of my original writing, heh - turned out quite a bit different in the end.

3. If you could only watch one movie for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Argh! This is a hard question for me because I love movies and I really love a wide variety of movies, so picking one out of all of them is really difficult. Though I think in the end I'd end up choosing Howl's Moving Castle. It's gorgeous and I love the story and the animation, and yeah. It's pretty much my favorite movie as it is - I think I could handle only having that one for the rest of forever.

And if not, I'll throw in Secretary too, heh.

4. What is your favorite story you've ever written?

I think my favorite thing I've written was my piece for the inception_bang last year. In my mind my favorite book, Hard-Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World, fit perfectly into the inception sort of reality, and I wanted to try my own take on it in a sort of fusion fic for the challenge.

I was really really pleased with the results of it, I even kind of like the summary which is rare for me. But yeah, the story I am most pleased with is definitely It Was Not Your Fault, But Mine (And It Was Your Heart On The Line).



After the Fischer job, Saito keeps most of the team under his employ should he ever have need of their services again. One of those times arrives and Arthur takes the lead on their second inception job - it ought to be simple and straight forward. However, things are rarely ever so simple when Eames is involved. Arthur has to deal with the past, and his own fears for the future, all while making sure the job goes smoothly, but Eames doesn't make things easy on him - no matter how much Arthur wishes he would.

This is the story of Arthur and the many times he wanted to kill Eames, a librarian and the historian who becomes infatuated with him, Rio, and town histories that make no sense, and Mal.



5. What is your favorite genre of fiction? Why?

Hmm... I really like fantasy, but not like - witches and wizards fantasy, I mean I love Harry Potter, but like I like the idea of a world that is almost the same as ours and yet there is something just a little different. Something a little wrong - usually with a Sci-Fi twist to it. My favorite books are a sort of mix up of these two genres Fantasy/Sci-Fi.

Though really I can devour almost anything with a decent story to it. I like a lot of YA too, though all of that has that stupid love triangle thing going these days and seriously I don't need some girl pining over which ruggedly handsome teenage boy she'll end up with for the rest of her life.

In fanfiction I love AUs, I love people's ability to take canon characters and keep them IC in different landscapes, it's fascinating and I really love the way people do it.


07/15/11--02:04: Harry Potter (chan 1855209)

Went with my sister to see Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows tonight - it's crazy the number of people that turn out for these things. We got our tickets late so we ended up a theater a long way from the house, but we had a good time all in all. The line was ridiculous, but it was awesome to see so many people dressed up and excited for Harry Potter.

I'll have a more coherent post later, maybe talk a little bit about the movie, but it's 4 and I need to go to bed. In the mean time, pictures behind the cut.

09/02/11--11:29: Life and things (chan 1855209)

This summer has really kind of been working itself to a hugely disappointing finish.

I helped get my sisters off to college 2 weeks ago and was given 2 weeks notice at work the day after I got back, and since then I've just been kind of working and dreading writing cover letters and revamping my resume and just dreading the whole process of being unemployed again.

After college I worked at several minimum wage jobs up in Abilene before I moved back home to Austin in 2008 (I think). And I spent a great deal of time unemployed then, thanks in part to no connections in town/really bad emotional state/transportation issues/and so on and so forth. There was a lot going on then. I did get several freelance jobs, writing and editing and actually using that degree I spent so much time and money on.

And then earlier this year a friend of my mother's said her husband needed some help in his office and would I be interested?

I love regular employment, I love going into an office and having a place to do work that is not my house. I yeah I might whinge about not wanting to go in and too much faxing and things, but I infinitely prefer that to working at home.

So today is my first day of being unemployed once again.

Fingers crossed that the few things I have lined up come through for me, because I don't think I can take it otherwise.

; God I sound like such a twit on the phone. I got a call today to schedule an interview, I can't help thinking I sounds like I'm twelve on the phone - oh well. Wednesday at 1, interview! What do you wear to an interview? It's been so long since I've been to a real one. What do I say? What is the right answer to that 'where do you see yourself in five years' question?

; I would love to get this job, health insurance, good pay, works with my stupidly messed up sleep schedule - plus working. So fingers crossed there.

Interview tomorrow, still a little twitchy about it, but hopefully it'll be good. I'm going into it feeling good. I've got the qualifications for it and I'd really like to do it so we'll just let that be the thing we talk about and it'll be great.

I'm taking care of some cats next week for this lady who is going out of town for a week, I think this is the first time she's left them in her entire life. Seriously the amount of anal that she's shown and she's not even gone yet - if I'd known before I said I'd do it I'd have asked for more money just to deal with her insanity.

At least the cats will be easy.

4. Amy Pond. I got this icon before I really got into Doctor Who. My friends suggested I start watching when the Eleventh Doctor started up, because it would be like starting fresh and I could still get into it just fine. And so I did, and I kinda liked it, but what ended up happening was that I liked it so much that I decided I needed to start watching from the start of the new!Who. So I went back and started there, and I've only just caught up again, but I like this icon all the more. I love Amy I think she's an awesome character, and I like what she means to the doctor and everything else we still have to learn about her.

5. Harvey Specter. Look at all the fucks I give, because Harvey is a BAMF, and he eats hot dogs in his bespoke suits and doesn't worry about getting it dirty because he's Harvey Specter and he's better than spilt mustard. Also Harvey/Hotdogs is kind of an otp. Don't judge.

Heard from the hospital today about the job. They decided to go with someone else, but I was encouraged to continue applying because I interview really well. For some reason that's not quite as reassuring as I think it was meant to be. What good is interviewing well if you don't get the job?

Got an in to Pottermore last night, played around with it a little and got sorted and stuff. It's interesting I like the extra and expanded information that has been included, but with so many people using it and all the clicking around you have to do it's not quite as fun as I thought it might be.

I got sorted into Hufflepuff, 10 3/4 inch Elm Wand, with Phoenix Feather Core. I'm WildMoon17 there if any of you guys are on there.

I'm super terrible at brewing potions. I need to check it out some more and figure it out.

Have you guys seen Luther? It is by far one of the best shows I've had the pleasure of watching. Idris Elba is fantastic in it, and series 2 is starting on BBC America today, so you should watch it. Elba did an interview with NPR today that was really great, you should check it out, and then watch the show, because dude!

These days I'm watching a lot of stuff. Trying out a lot of new shows, since so many started up this season. It's fun, normally I don't watch many shows - one or two each season.

I'm following NCIS:LA, Unforgettable, Person of Interest, The Secret Circle (everyone deserves a bit of fluff), A Gifted Man, Revenge, and The Fades. Still not much by the looks of it, but more than I'm used to.

Does Doctor Who count? Because I'm still watching that.

And rewatching Suits, and I've recently gotten my hands on Kings, The Breakout Kings, and Strike Back. I also recently caught up on White Collar and Leverage. So yes, much to be watching these days. It's fun and different and I like the way it's kind of all spread out and different.

In other news, I still fail at making potions, sorry Hufflepuffs. At least I earned one house point, though how I did that I have no idea.

I'm in the mood to write drabbles tonight, but fresh out of prompts because I fail at things like prompts. Anyone want to give me a fandom/pairing/prompt and I'll write some drabbles? I can write NCIS:LA, Suits, Inception, X-Men: First Class, Harry Potter, Star Trek, and Kradam (just to keep the list minimal/I suppose people could ask for other fandoms, no guarantees I can write them, but yeah.).

It's that time again, mini_nanowrimo has started up again and I've pledged to write 100 words every day this month. So far I've got 189 under my belt for the 1st, we'll see how it goes the rest of the month.

In keeping with that, I'm trying to write a Suits drabble every day this month. I run the tumblr Quick Suits, a place where you can submit any Suits pairing and prompt and I'll do my best to write a drabble. I've got 3 prompts right now, but ideally I'd love to have enough prompts to do 1-2 drabbles a day for this month. So if you're so inclined you can head over and leave me a prompt and a pairing there. I'm open to any pairing and have already written plenty of different ones, and your prompting would be much appreciated!

In other news ... umm... yeah. That's about it right now, I'm looking into moving out of the country next year, my family is insane as always, Halloween was fun (I made a little kid cry with my costume - and a group of parents oohed and ah'ed. I was just a vampire, not even a sparkly one, cause then I'd have had to kill myself and no one wanted that). I guess that's it. Life!


12/01/11--16:55: Mininanowrimo and life (chan 1855209)

Well November is over, and with it mini_nanowrimo and I managed to complete my writing pledge of 100 words a day for the entire month! Woohoo! I actually averaged 310 a day, which is super awesome and I'm really glad it went so well this year. I usually have some problems around the Thanksgiving time but I got through it all. So there were a lot of drabbles written for Quick Suits, so check that out if you're into Suits. And I'll post a bit of my other writing here once I've had a chance to edit it.

I've actually been doing a lot more writing than that, but I just counted the drabbles I wrote for the word counts. I've also been writing with a friend of mine, we've been writing Avengers fic, particularly of the Steve/Tony variety, you can find our fic posted here at allourthings eventually we'll get up some of the Suits fic we've written too, like our big bang which is due here in a few days! I can't wait I'm super excited and a little nervous about it, but all in all I think it was a good fic and we really liked the end result, so much that we're working on a sequel too!

Ummm... in other news, I've been getting ready for Christmas, hopefully so I can just get it all taken care of and finished long before Christmas actually gets here, I'm almost done I need a few more odds and ends for my mom, but other than that Christmas is set this year. I'm working on painting postcards right now and I'll be mailing those out next week I think, so hopefully those all make it where they're supposed to go before Christmas rolls around.

Soooooo yes, that's what I've been doing, I've been quiet for a while, but yeah still here, still checking up on you guys, I'll try to be around a little more through out December. We'll see!

I'm doing it again, getting involved in Big Bangs and stuff, but really it was the suitsbigbang. I ask you, how was I supposed to resist? Seriously people. And when they needed a pinch hitter (because I really did try to have a little self-control and didn't sign up to do art) I happily volunteered my services - because let's face it, I do these things.

I had the pleasure of working on the art for bluhart14's fic The Healing Kind. Now I only read a draft of the fic, but it was kind of amazing and I'm desperately looking forward to reading the completed fic and having my heart break all over again. The characterizations were excellent, the writing style was really lovely, and even in draft form the emotions that were evoked in the writing were fabulous. So seriously check it out, and then come back here and look at the art.

I really love writing big bangs, as some of you know - it's an addiction and well Suits + big bang was kind of hard to resist. Together with midnight_writer, I wrote Fall Into Me, a Suits big bang story about the development of the relationship between Mike and Harvey. So after we banged out over 80,000 words of fic I decided we needed a little art to go along with it. Hello and happy New Year friends!

Been a little quiet around these parts, but I've been taking a little bit of a break from online and stuff, my sisters have been home over their winter breaks, and there was of course Christmas and just everything else going on right now. But I'm still here, still kicking, still enjoying life and stuff.

This year I actually painted the whole thing with water colors instead of doing just the backgrounds with acrylics on top like last year, I like the results. I'm gonna need a new book of watercolor postcard paper though.

Sooooo going to try and be around for a little more posting this year, I've resolved to read more this year. I got a Kindle Fire for Christmas, and I've been filling it with books. I've already read 3 in the last week. So hopefully I'll keep that up over the year. Hope you all are having a great start to 2012, and I hope it'll be a great year for us all.

As a part of my New Year's Resolutions I have also decided to do more writing this year. I mean I did a ton last year, thanks in part to midnight_writer and her awesome inspiration and motivation. But most of that was done in the last four months of the year. I'd like to spread my writing out a little more consistently this year.

So in that vein, here are two drabbles I've written today in a Arthur/Eames Facial Fest hosted by asunder over on Dreamwidth.

The way it goes

Eames is the only person in the world Arthur would ever let get him into this position. Prone, on his back, shoulders pinned by Eames' knees - keeping him pressed down into the mattress. Eames fucks into his mouth in long slow strokes, almost lazy - and given that it's Eames it's pretty safe to say that is exactly what it is. And god Arthur could just kill him for it if it wasn't so damn good.

It's that perfect slick press of Eames cock into the back of his throat, filling his mouth too full but he keeps going, makes Arthur take it again and again. Eames has a hand fisted in his hair, keeping him right there, and his other splayed against Arthur's cheek, thumb tracing the line of his lips where they stretch around his dick.

Arthur just has to sigh, long suffering as he gives Eames a sharp look and Eames will get on his knees, perfectly compliant as he works at Arthur's trousers, opening them with far less care than he should before he's pulling out Arthur's cock and sliding his plush lips around the head and taking him in completely in one long wet slide.

It's always the same, Arthur starts it but Eames is the one to finish it.

So he stands there, both hands gripping at Eames' hair, and Eames sucking hard and deep, sliding up and down the length of his cock as he becomes Arthur's undoing.

I'm so excited about this, it's been too long since I've been able to get to the library but I've already been reading more thanks to my Kindle so this is a chance to have even more books.

It is back! Been waiting the return of White Collar for a while now so I was eager to see it tonight. I don't really do episode reviews and such, because mostly I suck at such things - but yeah - I've got a few little thoughts that I'll put below a cut.





; I think what really struck me was the disconnect from the tension that was where the last half of the season cut off to where they picked up. There was just something strange about it - where we were left seriously fretting over Elizabeth and what would happen between Peter and Neal, and then no real resolution of any of that tension.

; I really did love Elizabeth though, she's beautiful as always.

; Still kind of just mulling things over about the episode and what it'll mean for the way they finish off the season and how things go forward now. Just yeah, this episode left me thoughtful.
